Class Directions
The Advanced Computer Applications class is in the process of updating their pages and adding new pictures.Their assignment was to pick 6 of the following 8 projects:
1. Create a picture that shows movement. For example: a parked car and you change the background to give the illusion of movement.
2. “Here’s you in 10 years!” This is a picture of you looking into a mirror and the shot in the mirror should be you in 10 years. This can be an illusion person.
3. Turn a photo into a pen and ink or watercolor.
4. Turn a photo into a charcoal drawing.
5. Create a project of your own—use the book “When Pancakes Go Wrong” for some examples. Another great place for ideas: http://www.worth1000.com/galleries.asp Whatever you create will also need a title (as seen on the above web site.)
6. Visual Dictionary—Pick a word from the dictionary and illustrate using photos. The word must appear on the finished product—get creative!
7. Take a vacation—Add your photo to a scenic photo of a place that you dream of visiting. Think of this as making a postcard.
8. Funny Ads—Search the Internet (yes, for this one you can!) for an image of your favorite food, toy, sports team, Logo,etc. Try to match the font with a font on your computer and change the name of the product to be a funny name. Extra credit: Make a slogan to go with it!
